Federal funds to expand Pennsylvania’s Medicaid program will make it possible for more than six hundred and fifty thousand (652,869) people who live in poverty in our state to obtain low-cost health coverage. This funding will improve the health of the most vulnerable people, while generating much-needed jobs and economic activity. It will also remove the burden of uncompensated care on our hospitals, health care providers and small businesses.
